Meet the Team

Jo Permaul

Director of Studies

I believe wholeheartedly that coaching is a fundamental and powerful skill. It uniquely unlocks human potential, fostering both personal and professional growth, and truly transforms lives. Through empathetic listening, insightful questioning, and strategic guidance, coaching empowers individuals to discover their strengths, overcome obstacles, and achieve their goals. It cultivates resilience, self-awareness, and a growth mindset, helping people navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity.

I am passionate about ensuring all students on our courses receive high quality, accredited and approved education in the fascinating, dynamic, evolving and enlightening field of wellness coaching.

I am deeply passionate about wellbeing, self-development, and education. My diverse career has spanned roles as a teacher, educational consultant, health professional (homeopath), and coach. Now, as Director, I have the privilege of sharing my experiences to inspire and empower our students. I strive to bring out the best in each individual, encouraging them to embrace their unique place in the wellbeing industry while embarking on a transformative journey of personal evolution and discovery.

I still treat patients with homeopathy, coaching, quantum frequency healing and intuitive readings and run my own practice, which means that as an authentic frontline practitioner I am able to fully understand issues that students experience.

After a career in education involving working in secondary mainstream, a teen psychiatric unit and a  pupil referral unit, working in Gypsy Traveller education and as a panel member on an Adoption Panel, I retrained as a homeopath.  My passion for natural health and wellbeing was loudly calling me and I couldn’t ignore it!  I started coaching whilst working for global company Weleda, as a Team Supporter: coaching therapists and wellbeing professionals was a rewarding part of my work, leading me to set up my own coaching programme, Resilient Therapists, in which I supported therapists launch, evolve and grow their businesses.  Both my homeopathy and coaching work can be found at

I live my life integrating my passion for nature, esotericism, astrology, tarot, natural medicine and healing along with a grounded approach needed when working in education and coaching.   I have two adult children, and live in North East London with our dog Caspar who is a real character!  I love long walks in Epping Forest and travel!

Alison Wilson

Associate Tutor

I work as a Leadership Development Trainer and Coach in the NHS and am excited to have the opportunity to work with Wellness Professionals at Work as an Associate Tutor. I also run my own coaching practice alongside my job in healthcare. I completed the Diploma in Life Coaching Skills with Wellness Professionals at Work, so I understand what it is like to train as a coach and to balance flexible learning with other commitments.

I have many years of experience working in healthcare, mainly in Human Resources before my current role and I’m particularly passionate about the power of coaching for frontline health workers. I’ve seen the huge difference it can have on wellbeing and confidence and how this translates into better outcomes for both staff and their patients.

I live in the North East of England with my husband and two cats and love walking on our beautiful beaches. I also love singing in my NHS Trust’s choir in my spare time and performing regular concerts in the hospital.
